Armanto Sutedjo, Ph.D.

Armanto Sutedjo is a Senior Educational Consultant at the Center for Teaching Excellence at Texas A&M University. He works with faculty and academic leaders to design engaging, studentcentered learning experiences using evidencebased teaching practices and educational technologies. His work supports facetoface, online, and hybrid courses, with a focus on helping instructors adopt technology in practical and purposeful ways.

Armanto’s work and research focus on Generative AI for Teaching and Learning and TechnologyEnhanced Learning Pedagogy. He explores how AI and digital tools can support student thinking, feedback, assessment, and course design while addressing responsible use, academic integrity, and faculty readiness. His approach emphasizes aligning learning outcomes, assessments, and learning activities so technology strengthens teaching and learning rather than driving it.

He is also interested in Digital GameBased Learning, particularly how games and interactive experiences can support engagement and learning in higher education and STEM fields. Across his work, Armanto is committed to helping educators design effective, engaging, and thoughtfully integrated learning experiences that respond to the evolving landscape of higher education.

Armanto earned his Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a focus on Learning, Design, and Technology from Texas A&M University. Originally from Indonesia, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Trisakti University, completed a Master of Management at IPMI Business School, and later transitioned into education through an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Educational Technology from Houston Baptist University. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys traveling, spending time in nature and wildlife settings, and exploring diverse cuisines.
